Our Swimming Pool

At Penarth Leisure Centre, we offer a variety of swimming activities for all ages and abilities. From public leisure swim to lane swimming, or taking part in our dedicated swimming lessons programme, our pool is the perfect place to improve your fitness and enjoy the water.

Free Swim Initiative

Make a splash with our free swimming sessions. Under 16s can enjoy one free Splash session every weekend, plus two extra sessions during school holidays. Over 60+? Take advantage of 2-3 free swimming sessions each week and stay active in the water - view these sessions here.

Swimming Pool Admission Policy

Please check our swimming pool admission policy for children:

• All children under the age of 8 must always be accompanied in the water and in the changing rooms during public swimming sessions by a responsible person (minimum age 16).
• The responsible person must direct and close supervision of their children at all times on the following ratio: Public/Family Fun Swim: 1 adult to 2 children under 8, but 1 adult to 1 child under 4. No adult supervision is required for over 8’s. Lane Swimming: 8 years and over with 1 adult.
• We strongly advise that weak and non-swimmers wear CE approved buoyancy aids.
• Children under 3 years will only be allowed in the pool if they are wearing an aqua nappy.
