Pool Refurbishment Notice: The pool at Southwell Leisure Centre will be closed for refurbishment until Summer 2026. During this time, customers can continue swimming at our nearby centres as part of our partnership with Southwell Leisure Centre Trust: Bingham Arena, Cotgrave Leisure Centre, Keyworth Leisure Centre, and Rushcliffe Arena. All pools in Rushcliffe Arena are available on a pay and play basis. Customers who join a swimming lessons programme at any centre can also enjoy free swimming across all pools. Additional swimming lessons places have been made available to support pupils who previously used the learner pool at Southwell. Designed for school-aged children, our swimming lessons are divided into progressive stages. Each stage encourages young swimmers to develop their skills, building both confidence and competence in the water.
Our baby and toddler swimming lessons are designed for children aged 3 months to 4 years old. These classes help build water confidence in a fun and supportive environment. An adult must accompany the child in the water during each session.
Our adult swimming lessons are suitable for all abilities. Whether you're looking to build confidence, refine your technique, or improve your stamina, we have a class to suit your needs.
At Southwell Leisure Centre, we are proud to partner with Swim England’s Learn to Swim Programme. Our curriculum covers all the core stages of swimming, incorporating essential skills and knowledge checks. This comprehensive approach guarantees that key water safety skills are integrated at every level of learning.
