Frequently Asked Questions

What will happen to my membership?

Your membership has not transferred to Creating Active Futures from 1 April. If you wish to continue using the facilities, you need to rejoin the centre on one of the membership options available here.

How can I ask questions?

You can speak to a member of our reception team, who will be happy to help with your questions, or you can get in touch with us directly. Please bear with us during this transitional time as the team get used to new systems and we help support members with their fitness journeys.

How will I access the centre from 1 April?

You have two options for your membership card: you can use our Leisure Centre app, where your membership card is available and you can manage your bookings, or you can collect a physical membership card from reception. When you arrive, you scan your app or card at reception to check in and use the facilities. This automatically registers your attendance for any class or session you have booked. All classes must be booked in advance; anyone not on the class register is not able to take part in the activity.

What is happening to the group exercise classes?

The group exercise classes are continuing as before and we’re pleased to be working with your favourite instructors to deliver this programme. We are also exploring opportunities to introduce a wider range of classes and sessions in the future.

What’s happening to the Swimming pool?

We’re working with Southwell Leisure Centre Trust and our partners to complete the repair works to allow us to reopen the main Swimming pool. We aim for this to be completed and the pool to reopen by early Summer 2026. We will continue to provide updates when possible. So please follow our website and Instagram page here.

What other investment do you have planned for the centre?

As well as the significant investment in repairing and reopening the swimming pool, we have a number of other investments around the facility.

We’re introducing a wider range of gym equipment, including cardio, resistance and functional equipment. Keep an eye on our social media to find out more! We’re also investing in an improved music system for the gym rooms, and greater internet infrastructure for the initial opening.

We have longer term plans to increase and invest in the group exercise classes as well as other improvements, details of which we will share as plans are confirmed.

What is happening to the Sauna?

During the pool refurbishment closure, we are taking the opportunity to ensure we meet all health and safety and insurance requirements. The entire poolside area is under review, and full access to the facilities will be restored as soon as possible.

Are you changing the opening hours?

Our priority is to ensure a smooth transfer to Creating Active Futures, the opening hours remain the same for this time. We will communicate any changes on the website and social media.

How will I know what’s going on?

We are providing regular updates via Instagram and Facebook.
