Geoff Moulder Leisure Complex Refurbishment

Exciting improvements coming to your centre!

Further to Boston Borough Council’s recent announcements about the forthcoming investments at Geoff Moulder Leisure Complex, we are pleased to provide further information, as works are set to start in June 2025.

We aim to keep disruption to a minimum, but as with any major works programme, some activities may temporarily change time, or if absolutely necessary, move to one of our other Centres close by.

What are the proposed dates of refurbishment?

You will be able to continue to enjoy the facilities whilst the works take place. Works will commence in early June 2025, and the extension works will take around 12 months to complete, with even more improvements to follow.

What changes are being made?

There’s a whole range of improvements, including;

  • New front entrance, reception area, and toilets
  • New village-style changing room for swimming.
  • New First Floor Gym, group exercise studio, and cycling studio
  • New gym changing rooms
  • Improved access control to all areas of the building

Can I still use the Centre?

Yes. You will be able to continue to enjoy the facilities whilst the works take place. We’re only closing sections of the centre, rather than a complete closure.

The main leisure pool and entrance will close from 7th June 2025, to allow the demolition of the current reception, changing rooms, and leisure pool roof. These works will pave the way for a brand new front extension designed to improve your leisure experience.

Swimming Lessons will continue in the Training Pool, and a temporary reception will be in place at its entrance.

The gym and spa remain open and fully accessible via the fitness entrance at the rear.

The front car park will close, but parking will still be available at the rear and side via a newly created route.

Can I use other facilities?

Yes. Princess Royal Sports Arena, which has a range of excellent facilities you can use for free with your existing membership. Princess Royal Sports Arena is a 10-minute drive from Geoff Moulder Leisure Complex.

Can I still use the car park?

Yes. There will be limited parking available, and there will be construction traffic moving around, so please take care when visiting.

It’s advised that you give yourself extra time to park during peak times, as we anticipate the car park may get busy. Further details on parking will be shared once details have been finalised.

When the new Boston College Mayflower building is opened, the new car park to the rear of that building can be used.

How will I know what’s going on?

We will send out emails with full details, and also provide updates via our social media platforms:
