As part of a new national Musculoskeletal (MSK) health hubs project, we have a range of new Good Boost classes, ESCAPE-Pain courses and Arthritis Action coffee mornings available across our leisure centres to help you lead a happy, healthier lifestyle.

Our certified programmes aim to give you the tools to improve your physical and mental health and enhance your quality of life.

GOOD BOOST CLASSES

Good Boost provides a flexible approach to supporting you with your muscle or joint pain or arthritis through gentle aqua and land based exercise rehabilitation classes. Delivered on a portable computer tablet, using information provided about your unique muscle or joint condition, the 30-60 minute classes are individually tailored to allow you to progress through your exercises at your own pace and have been built by experts in order to reduce pain and improve your strength and mobility. Sessions can be delivered in a group or individual setting.

If you would like to attend our Good Boost classes, please take 5-minutes to complete your self referral form here. Your GP or healthcare practitioner can also refer you into the Good Boost courses. Once the referral has been received, the centre will contact you directly.

More information on the Good Boost classes can be found here.

COFFEE MORNINGS

Providing information from Arthritis Action, these free 45 minute- 1 hour relaxed coffee mornings, led by a qualified, friendly Arthritis Action Facilitator, will help individuals living with arthritis to learn how to improve their quality of life in a supported, group setting. Individuals will be provided with information from Arthritis Action about how to lead more active lives, how to manage conditions to reduce pain as well as receiving information about further activities available in the leisure centre.

More information on the coffee mornings can be found here.
