Bingham Penguins is a swimming club for people with disabilities that has been running for 37 years. We cater for a range of all ages and abilities. The club runs solely on the kindness and generosity of volunteers. Our members consist of adults and children of all abilities, from learning to swim through to competitive swimming and training.

The sessions are fun and swimming takes place in a safe and supportive environment. The club meets once a week on a Sunday evening in term time and there are two sessions. First session: 5.30pm -6.10pm and second session: at 6.20pm-7pm. The sessions are ability grouped.

As a club, we have supported many swimmers with opportunities in competitive swimming and some of our swimmers have swum in national squads and represented Great Britain. We have also supported and trained many volunteers in disability awareness, achieving the volunteer section of the Duke of Edinburgh award and sports leaders awards. We have also supported several volunteers in attaining teaching/coaching certificates in swimming. We are a registered charity and are open to new people joining the club and new volunteers assisting swimmers in the water or on poolside.

Midlands Kickboxing is an award winning martial arts school. We meet every Tuesday evening between 7:30pm - 8:30pm.

We are currently enrolling complete beginners as well as those with previous experience. This is a mixed class which means beginners and advanced students train together providing diversity within the session. Children, teenagers and adults attend our club, offering a good mix of students and a friendly atmosphere. Our training is structured and we treat all of our new students as 'unskilled'.

We allow you to train at your own pace with lots of encouragement. We know you will make rapid progress when training with Midlands Kickboxing regardless of your physique, natural ability, condition or experience. Training, although serious, is conducted in a friendly atmosphere and all instructors are very approachable.

Please call Jenny on 07921215245 for more information or to book your FREE trial class.
