Dereham Leisure Centre Refurbishment

Exciting improvements coming to your centre!

We are excited to be investing over £100k in brand new, state of the art, Life Fitness and Hammer Strength gym equipment, including new cardio, resistance and strength training machines.

  • Cardio equipment with a range of different consoles including 16 inch “SE4” touch screens with full connectivity and a wide range of immersive on-demand workouts
  • Top of the range “Insignia” resistance equipment
  • Improved range of cable resistance equipment from the “Signature” range
  • Brand new free weight area filled with new strength training equipment including Hammer Strength plate loaded machines, squat racks, deadlift platforms and dumbbells.

What are the proposed dates of refurbishment?

The main gym area will be closed for 2 days on Tuesday, 6 January - Wednesday, 7 January whilst this refurbishment takes place.

The gym and new facility will reopen on Thursday, 8 January.

What facilities will be affected?

The main gym will be completely unavailable during the refurbishment works, however customers will still be able to use the swimming pools, indoor cycle studio and participate in group exercise classes as normal.

Timetable

Due to the main gym being closed, there will be no inductions or programme review sessions available with gym staff and there will also be no junior gym sessions Tuesday, 6 January - Wednesday, 7 January.

What will happen with memberships during this time?

Fitness Memberships will run as usual with the disruption only being for two days, as per the terms & conditions of membership. Group exercise classes and swimming will still be available for customers to use. Members also have the option of using our other facilities at Breckland Leisure Centre and Waterworld and Swaffham Leisure Centre.

Can I get inducted on the new equipment?

Yes absolutely! If you would like a physical induction on the new equipment you can contact the centre here to request this. Alternatively, new equipment will have QR codes which can be scanned to provide you with a step-by-step video tutorial.

How will I know what’s going on?

We will be sending emails to our members as well as updating our social media channels. We will also have communication on display in the centre updating you with the latest news leading up to and throughout the works.

If you have any further questions please ask our reception team or contact us here.
