Exciting improvements coming to your centre in the new year!

We’re thrilled to announce brand new resistance equipment is coming to Torbay Leisure Centre very soon from our partners, Life Fitness.

What changes are being made?

A complete refresh of the resistance equipment including:

• 14 new top of the range Life Fitness Insignia pin-loaded resistance machines
• A new 4 stack ‘multi-jungle’ with 2 x cable rows and 2 x cable pulldowns
• An additional Dual Adjustable Pulley machine
• Hammer Strength plate loaded strength machines - Iso Lateral Chest Press, Iso Lateral Row, Iso Lateral Shoulder Press and Glute Drive
• Back extension bench

When will the new equipment arrive?

Monday 9 March - Wednesday 11 March

Can I still use the centre?

Absolutely yes, the gym won’t be closed. The cardio area, free weights and the 2nd floor gym will all remain open and fully accessible. There will however be some disruption as the old equipment is removed and new equipment delivered/installed. 

How will I know how to use the new equipment?

If you are unsure how to use the equipment, team members will be available to offer support. We would also encourage members to book in for another induction should you feel you need additional 1:1 support. 

How will I know what's going on? 

We will send out emails to all members with full details. We will also provide updates via our social media channels, so please follow us if you don’t already. 

This FAQ’s page will be kept updated in the lead up and throughout the project.
