What to expect from our 50th Birthday Open Weekend

Activity Name: Free Public Swimming on Saturday 13 September
Short activity description: FREE Public Swimming sessions available on Saturday afternoon.
Location: Main Pool and Leisure Pool
Time: 13:00 - 17:00
Suitable for which age group/s: Suitable for all ages. Children under 8 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult/person over the age of 16
What to Bring: Swimwear and towels
Other details: This will be a very popular session, so please do book in advance.

Activity Name: Free Trial Gym Access
Short activity description: FREE Trial Gym Access across the Open Weekend
Location: Gym
Time: 08:00 - 17:00
Suitable for which age group/s: 16yrs+
What to Bring: Water bottle, loose gym clothing, trainers, gym/sweat towel.
Other details: A member of the Gym Team will be on hand to help show you around the gym and how to use some of our equipment.
How to book: Sign up for a 3-Day Trial Pass in advance online right here: 3-Day Trial Pass. Pop in and see us at Reception and in the gym over the Open Weekend.

 

Activity Name: FREE Fitness Classes
Short activity description: Come and take part and try one of our fantastic fitness classes over our 50th Birthday Open Weekend for FREE!
Location: Group Exercise Studio and Spin Studio
Time: 08:30 - 11:30
Suitable for which age group/s: All shapes, sizes and fitness abilities welcome. As always, if you are ever unsure about whether you should take part in a new fitness class or not due to health or injury reasons, please consult with your GP or Medical Professional first
What to Bring: Water bottle, loose gym clothing, trainers, gym/sweat towel.
Other details: Fitness Classes will include Yoga, Indoor Cycling (SPINNING), Body Pump, Body Combat, Step Aerobics and Zumba

Activity Name: Bouncy Castle and Soft Play Session
Short activity description: Jungle Run Bouncy Castle, Soft Play Mats and Toys
Location: Sports Hall
Time: Sunday 14 September 10:00 - 16:00
Suitable for which age group/s: 0 - 10 years old
What to Bring: Just yourselves. Shoes to be removed before using the bouncy castles
Other details: Socks to be worn at all times on the bouncy castles and sock play equipment. Follow the Bouncy Castle and Soft Play rules of use. Parental supervision is required at all times.
How to book: No need to book, this is an open session. Just turn up and have fun!

 

Activity Name: Active Reality taster sessions
Short activity description: Come and experience our amazing Virtual Reality Games Zone: ACTIVE REALITY. Drop-In Sessions.
Location: Upstairs in Squash Court Area 
Time: All weekend 10:00 - 16:00
Suitable for which age group/s: Adults, Children, and Teens. To play the game,s you must be at least 9 years old
What to Bring: Comfortable clothing and trainers. You can still wear your glasses even with the VR goggles.
Other details: Children under the age of 16 must have at least one parent/guardian in the Active Reality Room at all times.
How to book: Drop-in session available throughout the weekend

Activity Name: Bowls Club Taster Sessions
Short activity description: Come and have a go at Indoor Bowls
Location: Bowls Hall
Time: 10:00 - 14:00
Suitable for which age group/s: Anybody interested in trying out Indoor Bowls (16ys+)
What to Bring: Comfortable clothes, indoor bowling shoes if you have them (do not worry if you don’t). Outdoor shoes can be removed before stepping onto bowls carpet. 
Other details: Members and Coaches of The Brecks Indoor Bowls Club will be on hand to meet and greet anybody interested and show them how to play.
