Attleborough Sports Hall Refurbishment FAQ's

Exciting improvements coming soon!

Further to Breckland Council’s recent announcements about the forthcoming investments at Attleborough Leisure Centre, we are pleased to provide further information, as works prepare to start on 26 October 2025.

What changes are being made?

There’s a whole range of improvements, including;

• New gym
• New spin studio
• New community room
• New locker area
• New reception area
• Changing rooms refurbished
• Improved sports hall 

How will I know what’s going on?

We will send out emails (to those we have an email for) with full details, and also provide updates via our Facebook page and our website FAQ's page.

Can I still use the Centre?

No, unfortunately due to building works associated with the planned redevelopment of the centre, work cannot be safely undertaken with staff and customers present in the building.

What are the proposed dates of the refurbishment?

The Centre will close on Sunday 26 October, and at this stage we are unable to confirm the duration of the closure, but we understand this is likely to be up to mid-January 2026. 

Can I use other facilities?

Yes, we have another site at Swaffham who will all be happy to try and accommodate any bookings.
