What are the safety rules for swimming lessons?

Safety is a top priority at our swimming pools, and we require the following equipment for all swimming lesson participants: Swimming costume, Towel, Goggles, Swimming hat (provided by the centre), Aqua nappies (for non-toilet trained children).

Parents of children under 8 must stay in the centre and promptly collect their child after the lesson. Please arrive no more than 5 minutes early and use designated areas. If your child has had vomiting or diarrhoea within the last 48 hours, they should not attend lessons.

Additional safety guidelines include:

  • Outdoor footwear is not allowed in the pool hall.
  • Adult-to-child swim ratios must be followed.
  • Armbands and buoyancy aids are not available for hire but can be purchased at reception.
  • Please shower before using the pool to maintain water quality.
  • In emergencies, clear the pool and follow lifeguard instructions.

For more information, please ask at reception or visit your local centre.
