GYM UPGRADE FAQs

Exciting improvements coming to your centre!

We’re replacing a large proportion of our existing gym kit, including both cardio and resistance machines, with brand new equipment from Life Fitness & Hammer Strength. As part of this project there will also be changes made to the layout of the gym floor to create a dedicated stretch and functional area.
 

What changes are being made?

There’s a whole range of improvements, including;

• Brand new cardio equipment including widely-requested new items such as an additional stair climber and machines with SE4 touchscreen fully connected consoles 
• Replacement plate loaded strength training machines from the industry leaders, Hammer Strength. 
• A full assortment of pin loaded resistance machines from Life Fitness, from their top-tier insignia range 
• New extended free weight flooring and a change to the overall layout of the gym to make better use of the available space
   

Can I still use the Centre?

The gym area will be closed for 3 whole days but we will be running an enhanced Group Exercise Timetable during this time. Please look out for further details.
 

What are the proposed dates of refurb?

We expect the project to be completed by January and are currently working hard behind the scenes to make sure this happens. Once the dates are confirmed with the various parties involved, we will announce the project formally including all dates.
 

How will I know how to use the new equipment?

When the gym reopens, we will have plenty of staff available to support members and explain how the new machines work. If you would like a full induction session on the new machines, then please book via the app or ask at Reception.
 

What will happen to my membership?

This project to improve the gym and replace the equipment has no impact on memberships.
 

How will I know what’s going on?

We will send out emails with full details, and also provide updates via our social media channels and this FAQ’s page.
