What’s Happening?

On 5 September 2023, Erewash Borough Council took a decision to close Sandiacre Friesland Sports Centre. 

As a consequence of the Council’s decision the Centre will close its doors on 15 December 2023, with the fitness gym facility closing slightly earlier on 26 November 2023.

We would like to thank all the customers of Sandiacre for their valued custom of the facilities over a number of years. Although we fully appreciate your disappointment, we hope that you will continue to use the other excellent facilities operated by Legacy Leisure on behalf of Erewash Borough Council.

 

What Happens to my Membership?

We would like to thank you for your continued support of Sandiacre, it’s been greatly appreciated and we’ve valued your custom. You will now be able to use the other Centres in the area.

 

West Park Leisure Centre

  • Fully air-conditioned gym, with over 80 fitness stations, including interactive equipment
  • Over 60 group exercise classes are available each week
  • Use of the Boditrax system; this provides FREE body composition measurements, which can give your workout real focus and help you get meaningful results. 
  • You’ll also have access to swimming activities, including; Lane Swimming, Family Swims and Aqua Classes.

Victoria Park Leisure Centre

  • Fully air-conditioned gym, with over 21 fitness stations.
  • Over 60 group exercise classes each week. 
  • Use of the Boditrax system; this provides FREE body composition measurements, which can give your workout real focus and help you get meaningful results. 
  • You’ll also have access to swimming activities, including; Lane Swimming, Family Swims and Aqua Classes.

Rutland Sports Park

  • Fully air-conditioned gym, with over 61 fitness stations stations
  • Over 30 group exercise classes each week
  • You’ll also have access to the athletics track FREE.

What About My Bookings?

We are happy to look and see if we can transfer your Sports Hall, or artificial turf pitch to our other centres across the Borough. If we can accommodate your booking at another centre, we are happy to apply a 10% discount on your next 10-week of booking as a gesture of goodwill for your past support of Sandiacre.

If we are unable to accommodate you at the other centres, we would like to remind you we are here to help transfer to another venue, please get in touch so we can discuss your requirements.
