WHEN WILL MY CENTRE REOPEN?

Please note we are opening our centres on a phased basis and therefore not all facilities will be available immediately. Please find your centre below to see which facilities will be opening when.

Swimming lessons and activity bookings will remain frozen and you or your child's place reserved to pick back up again once we reopen those services.

Brough Park Leisure Centre is undertaking a project which comprises essential reinforcement work to the steel column bases and the glulam beams within the pool hall. The windows in the hall will also be replaced as part of the project alongside localised tile replacements. The works will ensure the safety of the structural integrity of the pool hall to comply with health and safety regulations. The maintenance works required were not sufficiently developed and designed ahead of the mandatory Government closure in March 2020. Whilst efforts have been made to accelerate the works, Government lock down restrictions have prevented the procurement of specialist services and manufacturing shutdowns across Europe have delayed the importation of the materials needed to complete the essential maintenance tasks. Due to essential maintenance work to the pool tanks at Dereham Leisure Centre the swimming pools will remain closed for an extended period and will reopen at some point in November 2020. This extended period reflects that the maintenance works required were not sufficiently developed and designed ahead of the mandatory Government closure in March 2020. Whilst efforts have been made to accelerate the works, Government lock down restrictions have prevented the procurement of specialist services and manufacturing shutdowns across Europe have delayed the importation of the materials needed to complete the essential maintenance tasks. Click here for more information.
