Sample program of what to expect your child to do in the crèche.
As carers we try to make your child’s time with us as enjoyable as possible. After the initial arrival, free play gives everyone a chance to make friends, have fun and join in activities. This includes puzzles, construction, soft play, home corner dress up and books time.
With creative fun we have daily activity tables where there will be play dough, painting and making models. We also have a colour table of the week; this is where we welcome your child to bring something in of that weekly colour, where they can learn what it is.
You will be able to collect your child’s work to take home at the end of the day and some will be displayed.
Snack time - Children attending the crèche will be allowed to bring a snack with them. We aim to stop activities between 10.30am – 11.00am to allow a light snack and drink under supervision. As a suggestion snacks could include, sandwiches, a piece of fruit, raisins, cheese and a drink. Babies will be kept as near as possible to their routine they have at home.
Please note
Due to growing allergy problems we do NOT allow peanuts to be brought into the crèche. We would also ask – please do NOT send children with peanut butter sandwiches.
