This is an outstanding career opportunity with a not-for-profit charitable organisation committed to providing a diverse and meaningful range of leisure and culture related activities within the community.
Working as part of the Duty Management Team, this role will support the Centre Manager in the delivery of Legacy Leisure’s objectives at Penarth Leisure Centre. The centre is a multi-purpose facility with a 100+ station gym, large swimming pool and teaching pool, three group exercise studios, six court sports hall, squash courts and a health suite.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced junior manager or supervisor with ambitions to progress to a more senior role.
The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and will take a lead role in developing and promoting an exciting and innovative leisure programme.
You will be responsible for the daily operation of the centre including health and safety, customer care, pool plant operations, financial procedures and managing multiple departments.
This is a full-time role on a shift pattern of early mornings, late evenings and weekend shifts.
A driven and enthusiastic individual looking to pursue a career in Leisure Management.
Excellent communication skills, flexibility and total commitment to customer care.
Minimum of 2 years experience in people management required.
Leisure & tourism experience desirable.
All positions are subject to a DBS Disclosure.
A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and Pool Plant Operators Certificate (PPO) are desirable. Successful applicants will be provided with full training in all aspects of this role.
