At Scotch Horn Leisure Centre we pride ourselves on offering accessible facilities for disabled customers with a commitment to continuously improving the accessibility in our centre to ensure we meet the needs of our customers.
Scotch Horn Leisure Centre is equipped with adapted fitness equipment to allow people with a range of abilities to get the best possible workout and has Inclusive Fitness Initiative Accreditation.

Gentle exercise programmes supporting people with long term health conditions.
We have dedicated Health and Exercise Instructors and a number of specialist programmes to ensure everyone can receive the expert advice they need to lead an active life in a safe, supportive and welcoming environment.
GP Referral Scheme
Runs in conjunction with local GP Surgeries, Physiotherapists and Nurses, this 12 session course is taken by our qualified GP Referral Co-ordinator and incorporates health screening and a personal exercise programme. These sessions aim to integrate you into the gym and gives you the tools and confidence to help you reach your personal goals.

Parkinson’s and Diabetes Clinic
Energise Cancer Rehabilitation
An exercise based programme delivered by a Cancer Rehabilitation Instructor, offering a gradual individually tailored introduction to physical activity. To help recovery from the side effects of cancer treatments (such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormone therapies) in a safe, friendly and motivating environment.
A programme of strength and balance classes to help build strength, walk steadily and lower risk of falling.
GP Referral Walks
A short walk with a route for all abilities, followed by a talk in our Cafe Vita with a local GP.
Taken by a qualified BACR Rehabilitation Instructor these sessions gently encourage health and fitness to promote long term improvement.

Thursday (Cardiac Group): 11:00-12:00
Thursday (Stroke Exercise): 13:00-14:00
The above classes will give you the following; increased sense of wellbeing, increased stamina and energy, strong bones (lower risk of osteoporosis), improved heart and lung efficiency, lower blood pressure, less tension and stress.
