The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for customers coming into the Centre.
To ensure that all the people who enter the Centre are received in a friendly, polite and service friendly manner.
Will be responsible for taking bookings, cash handling and answering telephone enquiries.
To work as part of a team to ensure that customers are met and their needs understood.
To ensure a warm friendly and professional atmosphere and high standard of customer care at all times in order to generate customer loyalty.
To assist the customers with choice on the Centre’s activities.
To be aware of all Health & Safety issues within the Centre, to constantly implement and assess practices and draw attention to any unsafe practices.
To communicate with the customer via emails, social media and booking systems in a polite and professional manner.
To promote the Centre positively at all times and maintain the displays of promotional material.
To receive telephone, written and personal bookings and payment for use of the Centre’s facilities.
To ensure cash handling and reconciliation of monies is carried out.
To operate the public address system, telephones and computer booking system whilst on duty.
To promote and control items for resale and hire.
To keep reception clean, tidy and a pleasant environment in which to work.
Taking detailed messages and responding to/transferring in an appropriate manner, dealing with queries.
General ad-hoc duties - filing, scanning, photocopying, archiving, correspondence.
Dealing with incoming / outgoing post and managing deliveries, incl. tracking any orders.
To undertake any other duties as may be required to assist in the running of the Centre.
Will be able to operate tills and be competent in a variety of computer programmes.
Strong interpersonal and customer facing skills.
Will be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Will be able to demonstrate good organisational skills.
Will be able to communicate effectively with customers, clients and staff.
Will be able to demonstrate clear identification with all customer requirements.
Will be able to use own initiative, to follow procedures and learn to work to deadlines.
Has the ability and willingness to acquire job related knowledge.
Be friendly, well presented with a positive attitude.
Be enthusiastic, confident, flexible.
Will understand the company ethos and develop a strong understanding of the workings and activities carried out at the centre.
