Following extensive damage to the concrete floor screed within the free weights area of the fitness suite, work gets under way on Monday 24th July 2017 to repair and reinforce this area. These works will take approximately 7 days to complete and during this time the free weights area will be unavailable for use. To minimize the disruption and inconvenience this may cause to our members, we are making a few temporary changes to our fitness programme which will allow us to run a modified but continued high level of service and equipment availability.
**Temporary Changes to Group Exercise**
From Sunday evening 23rd July for a period of 7 days all Indoor Cycling group exercise classes will be relocated onto the boards in the bowls area on the ground floor. There are no time changes to any of these scheduled classes advertised, however it has been necessary for us to cancel both of the evening Spin Classes on Wednesday 26th July due to scheduling clashes.
**Temporary Changes to Fitness Suite**
From 9pm on Monday evening 24th July the free weights area will be closed and unavailable for use by the public. Equipment including the Power Rack, Flat & Incline Bench Press, Smiths Machine and the Leg Press will be relocated into the main gym space. Please note that dumbbells and benches will not be available during the duration of these works as it is vital that we preserve the floor area in other parts of the fitness suite. For convenience, the stretch area and abdominal training equipment will be relocated into the Spin Studio adjacent the fitness suite
We hope our members appreciate the necessity to complete these essential repair works and bear with us during this period of mild disruption to service. The improved flooring will enhance both the experience and safety of users in this area upon its completion.
