Cheernation UK saw the best of the best in this year’s Midlands Cheer Festival on 16th October 2011 and SWAY Dance – AllStar Cheer Solihull TG are one of the newest teams taking the stages of competitive cheerleading.
SWAY Dance - AllStar Cheer Solihull TG have been training as a group for only six weeks and have earned themselves 2nd place in the Under 13’s Cheer Dance category, at this year’s Midlands Cheer Festival, held on 16th October 2011 in association with Cheernation UK. This success has also earned them a place at this years’ Cheernation UK National Championships to be held on 4th December 2011.
SWAY Dance – AllStar Cheer Solihull TG not only did themselves proud in the competition, but are the first ever-cheerleading team to take part in competitive cheerleading representing SWAY Dance.
Dance and Cheerleading coach Mary Kristine Porter said, ‘we didn’t come to the competition to win; we came there to get an insight of competitive cheerleading, to gain confidence, learn new tricks and to have fun! I am so proud of my cheerleaders with what they have accomplished so far in six weeks and looking forward to their progress’.
