Leisure Centre Manager praised after saving Grandfather's life
Hutton Moor Leisure Centre's Duty Manager Dave Gould has been praised by Great Western Air Ambulance for his heroic action in saving the life of Grandfather John Waddington. John was playing football with his 16 year old grandson at the centre when he collapsed and would have died, were it not for the quick action of Dave.
Dave Gould has worked at Hutton Moor for over a year, qualified for his First Aid at Work Certificate in March, just before his life saving actions in July 2016. Dave Gould said "I really was just doing my job and thankfully due to the great training that I received at Hutton Moor, I was able to play a part in saving John's life. I can't stress enough how important CPR and First Aid training at Work is.
Mr Waddington's Family has also thanked the critical care team from Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC) who assessed John and the paramedics.
