Tudor Grange Leisure Centre has recently become accredited as the Regional Training Centre for Triathlon England: West Midlands Region. The agreement means that a number of world-class triathletes now train at Tudor Grange, as well as running a number of training courses and camps.
This agreement offers Triathlon England use of the Swimming Pool, Cycle Track and Athletic Facilities, as well as offering some of the world class athletes free use of the gym through the Talented Athlete Scheme. Tom Jenkins, Sports Development Officer for Solihull said ‘This is a great opportunity for both Parkwood Leisure and Triathlon England to work together to offer high performance athletes, world class training facilities at our centres.’
In the run up to 2012, it is important that athletes have good facilities to train at, and we are pleased that Triathlon England have chosen us to offer that.
The agreement will last 2 years, and Tudor Grange Leisure Centre would like to wish all Triathlon England athletes, the very best of luck in the future.
