Parkwood Leisure are supporting the Tommy’s Splashathon this year during our Under 5’s swimming lessons. Tommy’s funds research into the causes and prevention of miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth.
After 10 successful years, Tommy’s are hoping to beat last year’s total of £60,000 and make this summer’s event the most successful yet. To thank all of those raising funds for their work, Tommy’s are offering some fantastic prizes for all those taking part. Every little splasher to raise over £40 and return their sponsorship money by 31st August 2009 will receive a prize, In addition to this, the top fundraising individual will receive a prize pack full of Splash About goodies worth £200, including a float jacket, UV goggles and swim wear.
The Splashathon will be taking place from 8th to 14th June 2009, all of our Parent and Toddler swims, Aquatots, Aquababes and Ducklings classes will be supporting this sponsored swim event where children will be attempting to swim a width of their local pool in whatever fashion they can!
