Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be required to take overall responsibility for the marketing and sales delivery across two sites, the 664 seat Playhouse Theatre and the historic Winter Gardens in Weston-super-Mare. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing profitability through increasing event sales at the Winter Gardens and driving increased tickets sales at the Playhouse.
Successful candidates should have a proven track record in leading a sales and marketing team in an events or theatre environment. A recognised qualification in Marketing is desirable, alongside an extensive knowledge of the events and theatre industry. Excellent communication and customer liaison skills are essential. You should be able to manage and develop the staff efficiently to meet the operational requirements, creating a dynamic, innovative and responsive team through open communication and management.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage core marketing budgets for the sites, alongside developing creative practices to grow awareness of the two venues brand and offer to the local community.
