This is an outstanding career opportunity with a not for profit charitable organisation committed to providing a diverse and meaningful range of leisure and culture related activities for the local communities in which we serve.


Situated in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Windsor Leisure Centre is a flagship site with a 25 metre, 6 lane swimming pool, large family leisure pool with waves, 150 station ‘Expressions’ Gym, Health suite, group fitness studios, conference rooms, retail outlets, 8 court Sports Hall, cafe, All weather pitch & other indoor facilities. . 


We are looking for a dynamic Fitness & Retention Manager who is commercially astute to join our team. You will be responsible for initiating and implementing an effective retention programme, working closely with the sales process to ensure we retain our existing client base and grow this further. You will have previous experience in a similar role, you will have management responsibilities so will need to lead a small team and work closely and effectively with the sales team. Reporting directly to the site Centre Manager, the successful candidate will be flexible, reliable, possess good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.


The Fitness & Retention manager will work 40 hours per week. Your main duties will include identifying and implementing new methods for lead generation, organisation of marketing and promotions, setting action plans, liaising with local companies to set up corporate deals and providing the team with necessary tools to achieve targets. You will also be competent in data analysis and presenting this to the management teams. In addition, you will have an involvement in the day-to-day management of the gym and sales teams setting KPI’s, motivating the staff and deliver training to ensure the highest levels of customer service are always achieved.


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a minimum of 2 years successful management experience, be highly motivated and have an in depth knowledge of GDPR. Previous marketing/fitness experience is also essential. They will also have the ability to lead and motivate a team, have extensive knowledge of the leisure industry, keep up to date with fitness trends, excellent communication skills, a flexible approach to work and the commitment to deliver great customer service.
