Should we book?
YES! we have over 100 bikes in our fleet but if you are planning to come down call us or book online to ensure your not disappointed and left without your two wheeled steed.
What do I need?
- A form of photo ID (passport, drivers license is perfect)
- Suitable clothing - No open toed shoes or flip flops. We love the summer as much as you but we prefer your toes looked the same as when you left us.
- A backpack - We dont have baskets on our bikes so if you want to take your picnic with you make sure you have something to carry your food. Remember cycling is hungry work!
Thats it! Seriously thats all you need.
What's the right bike for me?
We have a height guide on our online booking wizard that can help you with this but if your unsure just give us a call on
For adults your have a choice between 16", 18", 20" inch frames
For kids you have a choice between 10", 12", 14" inch frames
Remember we measure in frame size as all our adult cycles have a 26" wheel (I know, confusing right?)
How long can I cycle for?
We hire in 1 hour, 2 hour and 3 hour periods. How long you can cycle for is down to you though! We have a choice of routes for varying abilities. Check out the MAP of our forest it may help you choose your time period too!
How old do children need to be for the buggies?
Our ST4 Buggies are amazing with space for up to two children. The minimum age requirement is 9 months and the maximum weight limit in the buggy is 45kg's. Remember you could end up towing this up a hill so maybe the weight could be split with a partner and a second buggy if your not feeling heroic or perhaps choose an easy route before venturing out.
Are there maps of the site?
Yes, free ones too! These are available from the visitors centre you pass on the way to us or at the Cycle Centre itself. All routes are clearly signposted out on the trails but if you get lost whilst on the bikes give us a call using the number on your bike and we may be able to help.
Do we have stabilizers?
As our trails are in a forest stabilizers dont work! Ever seen your child stuck spinning their back wheel up along the pavement? Well its 100 times worse off road. We have trail-a-bike's to help those who are yet to master the balancing part of cycling. Apparently its more fun to turn Mum or Dad into a horse for the day and be towed along!
