    Tips for Sticking to Your New Year's Resolutions

    We’re now a week into January and that steely determination you had a week ago is perhaps wavering and dangerously close to buckling all together. Sticking to New Year’s Resolutions can be tough; one study* in particular showed that 88% of us that make them will fail, despite 52% of us confident of success in the beginning.

    Here are some handy tips to give you all the more chance of success:

    • Focus on only one resolution. Trying to lose weight, run a mile, quit smoking, cut down on alcohol all at once can be overwhelming. Choosing just one element of your health for improvement will increase your chance of success.

    • Make the resolution specific and keep track of your progress. The best way to do this is to set yourself realistic mini-goals in a bid to reach your ultimate goal. Click here for our goal setting blog post.

    • Keep rewarding yourself each time you reach your goals this will keep you motivated to continue.

    • Share your experiences with family and friends. Having people alongside you supporting you and willing you to succeed will make a difference to your outlook. If your New Year’s Resolution is fitness related why not start a fitness blog?
